Looking for a big deal on a big TV? We think this one is worth checking out. Sears is offering a 1080 50-inch plasma for $549. It’s a Zenith model Z50PV220, which is the brand LG offers mostly to mass market retailers like Sears, Kmart and Walmart, but the user reviews for this unit (on the Sears site) are pretty strong.
For that $549 you don’t get any smart TV features (but you can add that with a $60 Roku). It features 600Hz processing, 1080p resolution, three HDMI inputs and free shipping.
Sears will sweeten the deal if you bundle it with a Bose home theater system or a Samsung soundbar (details on those deals at the link).

The woven acoustic screen is now available in a retractable, masking version.
Centralized home control and automation plus boatload of A/V options including dropdown theater screen revitalize 12K-square-foot home.
Should TV manufacturers offer dumbed-down TVs that focus on image quality rather than apps?
Say hello to home control in this high-tech palace, circa 2006.
