B&H Photo is slashing $30 off the price of Western Digital’s networked media player.

Western Digital has created a nice little following with its WD TV Live line. The WD TV Live Hub, in particular, has had a lot of good buzz. That’s because it’s more than a streaming set-top box; it’s actually a lot like a mini media server.

It’s also a lot cheaper than some of the current server options out there—and today, it’s even more affordable. We found B&H Photo selling the 1TB WD TV Live Hub for just $169.99. This is $30 off the list price, and also includes free shipping.

Connect the compact WD TV Live Hub to your HDTV, and you can start streaming tons of movies, music tracks and photos right to that larger display. It can snag content from your networked computer or services like Netflix, Blockbuster On Demand, YouTube, Pandora, Flickr, and much more.

The player hooks to the web via a built-in Ethernet port. However, if you need to go wireless, there’s an optional WiFi adapter available. This model also has a 1TB hard drive, so you can store content right on the box—no streaming is needed!

Our own Grant Clauser tested out the unit a while back, calling it “impressive.” If you need a better peek at this product, check out Hands On: Western Digital WD TV Live Hub. Just know that to get this discount, you’ll need to put the product into your shopping cart; you’ll see the lower price before you check out. Enjoy!
