When Blu-ray was first introduced, a player could be had for a mere $1,000. Oh, how times have changed.

More importantly, prices have changed—to the point where it’s hard to resist adding a first, second or even third player into the home. Today, we found Newegg selling the Toshiba BDX2150 Blu-ray player for just $49.99. This price is $50 off the list price, meaning you could basically buy two for the price of one. That cost also includes free shipping.

The BDX2150 doesn’t have any 3D features, but it’s still a very nice player. It plays Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs, and even streams services like Netflix, YouTube, VUDU, Pandora, and more. Tapping into those services is easy, because the BDX2150 also has built-in WiFi.

It’s also insanely cheap! Consider picking up one of these players for yourself and maybe even one or two for Christmas gifts as well. Newegg says there’s a limit of five per customer, and we’re guessing some shoppers are going to push that limit. Better snag yours before they run out of stock.
