If you’ve been holding out on getting an iPad, you probably already know that those things never seem to go on sale! However, Meijer is making a rare exception—but you’ll need to get out to a store to score the deal.
According to LogicBUY, Meijer is currently discounting Apple’s iPad 2, by knocking $70 off the price. This is strictly for the 16GB WiFi model. It’s also only available in stores.
Besides 16GB of flash storage and WiFi access, this insanely popular tablet has a 9.7-inch LED-backlit display with IPS technology, the dual-core A5 chip, front and back cameras and Bluetooth support. It can also deliver about 65,000 different iPad-specific apps, via iTunes.
Of course, you’ll have to pay for a lot of those apps. That said, $70 should be able to buy quite a few of them. When you aren’t downloading apps, the iPad can also provide access to the web and email, services such as Netflix, and books. It can also be used in the Electronic House, as a pretty awesome home controller.
Just remember that this is an in-store deal only. Meijer has locations in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. If you’re thinking about a road trip, you’d better plan it quick. This discount is only being offered in stores through February 25, 2012.
