Hot Deal: Samsung BD-D5500 3D Blu-ray Player and $30 Gift Card: $98.99
Dell is offering a major discount on this Samsung player, and throwing in a little extra incentive.

If you’re not planning to watch the Super Bowl this weekend, it may be a good time to catch up on a few movies. However, we’re guessing that your big TV will be monopolized by the Big Game. Maybe it’s time to add another Blu-ray player into your mix.

Dell is currently discounting the Samsung BD-D5500 3D Blu-ray player for $98.99. This offer is $61 off the list price. However, to make that purchase a little more enticing, Dell is throwing in a $30 gift card. Sadly, you can’t use it for this purchase. However, it’s almost like getting the player for $68.99!

However you do the math, it’s a pretty nice deal for this player. It also adds the option of viewing 3D (assuming you have a 3D TV and glasses). Besides 3D Blu-ray playback, the BD-D5500 also supports 2D Blu-rays and can upconvert your old DVD collection. It can even rock out the occasional CD.

Featuring touch-sensitive controls, the CD-D5500 features support for Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS audio formats, as well as multiple video formats. Another nice perk is that it includes Samsung’s Smart TV platform, which allows viewers to access a variety of Samsung Apps right through the included remote.

It’s important to note that Dell’s deal also includes free shipping. You definitely won’t get it in time for this weekend’s game, but it would be a nice way to add 3D into your AV setup or even a second player (with web services!) for another room.
