The combo projector has become a hot little category. This option combines a big picture with sound, so you can have a theater-like experience in any room, outdoors, in the boardroom, or anywhere else you may need it.
Optoma recently released the Neo-i, which uses pico projector technology to deliver that image almost anywhere. Even better, it has its own iPod dock, so you can carry a wealth of entertainment options in your pocket, and be ready to project them at a moment’s notice.
With warmer weather looming (yes, we’re hopeful), the Neo-i is a nice option, but also an expensive one. Well, not today. Woot currently has the Optoma DV20A Neo-i Projector & Speaker System listed for just $199.99. Of course, this discounted price does not include free shipping—which adds $5 on to the price. Since the MSRP on this product is $599, we don’t mind paying the shipping costs.
As far as the actual unit, it has a 16-watt, 2-speaker system and Class D amplifiers. As mentioned, there’s also a docking station, so you can hook up an iPod or iPhone. If you want to hook in an iPad, that’s an option. There’s also an HDMI and VGA inputs, too.
Boasting 50 ANSI Lumens and a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, it’s not the best projector you’ll ever see. However, it’s a nice option if you need to throw up a 120-inch image in a pinch—and with audio to boot.
Don’t spend too much time thinking about it; this is a one-day deal. After today, the price goes back up!
