Hot on the heels of Mitsubishi’s announcement that they are getting out of the TV business, we have an interesting deal. No, the company isn’t having a fire sale on TVs. Well, maybe they are. However, this deal will put one of the Mitsubishi’s projector options into your home, but for a lot less than the list price.

We found Groupon selling the Mitsubishi HC7800D 1080p DLP 3D Projector for 40 percent off, making this just $1,499. Yes, Groupon. That purchase even includes free shipping!

This is a DLP projector with a 13-piece lens, a full 1080p HD image, 2D-to-3D conversion, and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The projector also comes with two pairs of 3D glasses, for viewing those effects right out of the box (after you set it up, of course).

If you need a few other pieces to complete your setup, Groupon also has a bundle that includes the same projector and the glasses, as well as a Crossfire 106-Inch Home Theater 16:9 Projector Screen and Mustang Ceiling Projector Mount. That setup would typically cost you $3,078.98, but Groupon has it for $1,799.

According to Groupon, this is deal is running through the end of the day today (Thursday, December 6, 2012). However, it’s also a limited deal, so you may want to snag one before the retailer runs out of stock!
