In need of a new, giant HDTV? The answer to that question should always be a confident, “yes.” Unfortunately, biting the bullet to upgrade isn’t always easy, unless you find something like today’s Hot Deal.

We just found Paul’s TV selling the Mitsubishi 82-inch WD-82740 1080p 3D DLP for just $1,599.99. This is $1,000 off the list price and lower than the retailer has had in the past. That price also includes free delivery, so you don’t have to break your back to get this big boy into your living room.

As part of Mitsubishi’s 740 Series 3D DLP Home Cinema TV Series, the 82-incher does have 3D features, via a built-in 3D IR emitter. All you will need to add is the 3D glasses.

If you aren’t ready to make that move just yet, this offers up a nice 2D experience, with a full 1080p HD image, a 120Hz sub-frame rate, WiFi support (with an optional adapter), and three HDMI inputs. It also has access to Mitsubishi’s StreamTV platform, which can put a slew of web-based services right on the TV. At last look, some of Mitsubishi’s StreamTV partners included VUDU, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, and more.

Remember that you’ll need to add 3D glasses for 3D viewing (and maybe even a 3D Blu-ray player). However, this is a nice discount and free shipping is a bonus. There’s no word on how long Paul’s TV will offer this deal, so think about snagging one soon.
