If you think that rain is the worst thing to happen to a BBQ, you’ve obviously never had poorly grilled meats. Even the biggest BBQ whiz could use some backup, and we’re not talking about that “helpful” neighbor who always seems to know when it’s time to flip the burgers.
Recently, a company named iDevices cooked up a little something called the iGrill. This wireless cooking thermometer works in conjunction with the iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. Just download the compatible app, stick the thermometer in whatever grilled dish you wish, and you can monitor your meats via Bluetooth, up to 200 feet away.
Right now, Amazon has the iGrill on sale for just $79.95. That discount is $20 off the list price and also includes free shipping. Whether you’re buying one for you, for Father’s Day or for both, it’s a nice deal on a cool little cooking gadget.
Other features include a touch interface and projection display, alarm settings, and flexible placement. The free iGrill App provides food temperature options, various viewing options, recipe browsing and sharing, timers, and much more.
The iGrill comes with one iGrill probe and display and four AA batteries. The free app is available on iTunes. There’s no word on how long Amazon will have this product on sale, but if you buy soon, you may have it in time for your next BBQ.
