Still using your laptop to enjoy video and show off photos? It’s time to set that media free! If you’re not quite ready to invest in a web-enabled HDTV or other device, you can stream all of those web goodies from a WiDi-enabled laptop to your home theater. You just have to add something like the Belkin ScreenCast TV Adapter for Intel Wireless Display into the mix.
This slick little box creates a wireless connection between your two devices, making it easy to stream everything from photos to movies to websites.
It’s easy to hook up—and now, it’s extremely affordable. 1SaleADay currently has this device on sale for just $29.99. This is the cheapest we’ve seen, and it’s $100 under the list price.
Know that you will need a laptop with Intel Wireless Display powered by Intel Core processors to make this work. Once it’s hooked up, the two devices will connect. From there, Belkin says you can stream up to 1080p HD and Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound—when it’s available, of course.
The box also comes with an HDMI cable, so you’re ready to connect right out of the box. It’s also worth noting that the above price doesn’t include shipping, so you’ll need to factor in an extra $4.99 for that. Enjoy!
