The new iPad wasn’t the only thing that Apple dropped yesterday. The company said that they would also start to discount the older iPad 2, making the price just $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model.
Well, Micro Center wants to do one better. The retailer is currently selling Apple’s 16GB iPad 2 for $40 less, for a final price of $359.99. The hook, however, is that you have to go to a Micro Center store to pick up your purchase—and you’d better do it quick. According to LogicBUY, this discount is only good through today (Thursday, March 8, 2012).
Apple’s iPad 2 offers up a 1024-by-768-pixel resolution at 132 pixels per inch (ppi), the dual-core A5 chip, and two cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording. Of course, it also has enough app options to keep you entertained for weeks (months?), via iTunes. Boasting a thinner design than its predecessor, the iPad 2 also promises up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge.
Of course, the iPad 2 can also be a very important part of the Electronic House. Besides the entertainment, email or other fun stuff, the iPad 2 is a very popular home controller.
Just don’t get too excited about scarfing up this deal for touchpads around the house. The Micro Center site says that they are limiting this purchase to one per customer. If you want to reserve your discount, you’d better do it soon! This offer ends today (Thursday, March 8, 2012) or whenever your local retailer runs out of stock.
