With the weather rapidly heating up, our mind (and hand) turns to the thermostat. A smart thermostat can keep you cool. However, a smart thermostat can also save you a few bucks, even in the summer’s sweatiest months.
In effort to make its smart thermostats even smarter, Honeywell has added a few new features to the company’s Total Connect Comfort app.
The Total Connect Comfort app is designed to work with Honeywell’s WiFi or RedLINK connected thermostats, including the new color-customizable WiFi Smart Thermostat.
Available for both iTunes and Google Play users, the app includes a demo mode so that users can get an overview of the different features available.
A few of the highlights include the ability to schedule the thermostat from anywhere in the world, the option to access multiple locations or multiple thermostats, alerts for when the filter needs to be changed, and the option to view and set the indoor temperature. Another nice perk is that the thermostat will send alerts when the temperature is too high or too low, as well as if there’s a loss of power.
Other features include access to a five-day weather forecast, outdoor temperature and humidity readings, and more.
Honeywell says that app users will receive upgrades automatically as soon as each one is available. The Total Connect Comfort app is available now as a free download via iTunes and the Google Play store.
