Every single product seems to have some sort of app component these days. Honeywell Security Group is getting itself into the mix, with a new app for the company’s LYNX Touch 5100 self-contained security system.

The new app is specifically designed for iOS devices. That means that LYNX Touch 5100 users can tap into the system from anywhere within their property, via an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Currently, the app doesn’t have any sort of remote access. Instead, it offers local control of the security system via your home’s Wi-Fi network.

That control can include Z-Wave-enabled lights, locks, thermostats, and more. The LYNX Touch is a wireless, self-contained system, which uses Z-Wave. The options are endless! It also now offers push content via Honeywell Total Connect Remote Services, which includes traffic, weather and news.

Honeywell’s new app is now available at the iTunes Store for a one-time fee of $9.99.
