If this homeowner gets his $35 million asking price, “live long and prosper” won’t just be a catchphrase—it will be a way of life.
Of course, that motto is probably in his current rotation, seeing as he’s such a super Star Trek fan. His passion is pretty evident in his home theater, which models after the Enterprise’s flight deck.
Located in Palm Beach County, Florida, the 70-by-22-foot entertainment space was installed by Audio Advisors back in 2006. It includes the theater, as well as a bar and a Ready Room.
When we first covered this room back in 2007, we mentioned that the room had a 135-inch screen, a Sony projector, Crestron control, and JBL speakers. It also had what Jay Miller, president of Acoustic Innovations, called “one of the largest Kaleidescape hard-drive based storage systems that I’ve ever heard of in a residential installation.”
Of course, the most eye-catching part of the room is certainly the decor, which includes original props, models and drawings from Star Trek, as well as motion-activated air-lock doors with sound effects.
Currently listed with Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the 34,548-square-foot home also includes eight bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a video arcade, tennis courts, and a swimming pool with a waterfall.
