Ready to upgrade your sound system? Need a pair of outdoor speakers for the backyard? Maybe your home theater system could use a spruce up with a new receiver. Now might be a good time to invest in a few coveted pieces of audio gear.
Home Theater Direct, an online store that sells equipment direct to consumers, has launched a storewide sale, cutting prices by 10 percent. You better act fast, though. The 10-day sale, held in honor of Home Theater Direct’s 10-year anniversary, ends on Feb. 2.
Home Theater Direct received its first online order from a customer in Ladson, South Carolina. At the time, the concept of selling home theater products direct to consumers was considered a risky. Consumers were more comfortable listening to and touching equipment before purchasing it. Fortunately, the company’s formula of affordable pricing and quality customer support was a hit with audio enthusiasts.
Over the course of 10 years, Home Theater Direct has sold tens of thousands of products, and has expanded its lineup from basic cabinet and in-wall speakers to include sophisticated whole-house audio systems. There are more than 100 products available, with prices ranging from a couple of bucks to over $1,000.
In addition to expanding its product line, Home Theater Direct continues to refine its level of customer support. “We noticed that our clients have a greater comfort level with electronics than they did even five years ago,” says Chris Ashmore, operations manager. “he do-it-yourself market has definitely grown.” The company supports these enthusiasts through an online FAQ section and a no-charge, toll-free customer hotline. “We’ll walk the customer through the entire setup from start to finish,” says Ashmore.
