Holiday Gift Guide: Editors’ Wish List
Our editors put in their picks for high-tech happiness this year.
December 11, 2013 by EH Staff

Are you giving the gift of electronics this year?

The Consumer Electronics Association expects holiday spending on consumer electronics to go up 2.6 percent this year, with nearly three-quarters of consumers (74 percent) planning to buy some sort of tech-related gift.

Our editorial staff compiled some picks that we’d love for our own presents that would work well for plenty of people—hot gadgets, sweet loudspeakers, affordable projectors, colorful lighting and much more to tick off your check list.

We only allowed ourselves three gifts apiece, and in some cases we gravitated a bit toward our personal electronic tastes. Grant Clauser had some picks that would fit well into his, or anyone else’s home theater; Lisa Montgomery made some fine design-oriented selections; GeekMom blogger Rachel Cericola managed to combine gaming and cooking tech; and Bob Archer and Arlen Schweiger leaned heavily on their music passion for some audio suggestions.

What type of person are you shopping for (including yourself) this holiday season? Movie fan? Audiophile? Exercise buff? Couch potato? Techno-kid?

Take your pick, there’s a bit of something for everyone.
