There are some TVs that just make you go, “Wooo.” Hitachi is making that reaction mandatory by giving its new high-def TV line the enthusiastic name of—you guessed it—Wooo.
The line includes six LCDs and three plasmas. Akihabara News says that all of the LCDs will have a 35mm thickness and an iV port for iVDR HDD cartridges. Wooo indeed.
The Wooo UT series has a 32-, a 37- and a 42-inch model, each boasting a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a built-in 250GB hard drive.
The same sizes can be found in the Wooo XV series, but none have the HDD.
Two of the Wooo 02 line are 42- and 50-inch units, with the iV port. Only the 50-incher has the 250GB drive though. Info was missing on the third model (or maybe they miscalculated).
That wasn’t the only info that was missing; there’s no word on pricing or when any of the units will be available in the U.S.
