Hitachi’s P50S601 50-inch plasma
Football is right around the corner. Training camps have started. Watching football is great enough in HD, and Hitachi wants you to hit the line of scrimmage running with added interest. The company has teamed up with Athlon sports to offer “Rush for 2000 yards”—a fantasy “pick-em” type game.
Each week you pick a running back from a pro football team to be their designated “rusher” and predict his yards and number of rushing attempts. Players will receive weekly emails detailing the results from each round as well as a fantasy newsletter. Weekly and Grand Prize winners will be determined based on participants’ accuracy at predicting each week’s top performing running backs and the player’s actual yards gained.
The Grand Prize includes a trip to Hawaii and tickets to the year’s final game featuring the sports biggest stars. Other prizes include pro football team gear as well as a chance to win Hitachi HDTVs and camcorders.
“Rush for 2000 yards” is free to enter. Check out www.athlonsports.com/pro-football/11149/rush-for-2-000-yards.
