Hidden TVs and Secret Theaters
Blending your tech dreams with your décor
January 31, 2013 by Lisa Montgomery

You hear about people placing flat-panel TVs on motorized lifts that pop up from cabinets, but have you actually seen one of these configurations in action?

A unique showroom located at the headquarters of AudioVisons in Lake Forest, Calif., lets visitors view, use and compare a variety of TV mounting options. And just as it would in your own home, the way in which a TV is displayed, typically varies by the room in which the TV resides. For this reason, the AudioVisions showroom was designed to resemble a realistic home setting, complete with functioning kitchen, living room, family room and other spaces.

In addition to seeing how a TV can be integrated pleasingly into each area of the home, visitors can also experience how lighting control, distributed music and home automation can impact each area.

Here’s a look at some of the mounting options showcased at AudioVisons.

More amazing integrated TVs can be seen in this New York home.
