Earlier this month, Leviton announced plans to purchase HAI. Now, the newly merged company is launching its first product. HAI by Leviton now has a new Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) Dimmer.
Now, it’s probably not the most exciting piece of the Electronic House puzzle. That said, it’s certainly a nice option to have. In other words, if you’re still flipping switches, you’ll probably flip for this product.
Also known as part number 35A00-1CFL, the 600W CFL/LED Dimmer is UL listed for CFL and LED bulbs and can control up to 600 watts of incandescent or Halogen bulbs. It also has a special dimming curve that is optimized for CFL and LED bulbs to provide smooth dimming throughout the entire range.
Other features include a minimal brightness level, an auto-off option, and a small LED on the switch.
“The CFL/LED dimmer controls new high efficiency incandescent as well as dimmable CFL and LED bulbs, for scene setting, energy savings and security,” said Jay McLellan, president of HAI by Leviton. “HAI by Leviton Lighting Control, utilizing the advanced Universal Powerline Bus Gen III technology, is a reliable and easy to install full featured communicating product line.”
Available in almond, light almond, black, brown, grey, ivory and white, the 600W CFL/LED Dimmer is out now—and available in a case of 12, if you need it.
