Just about every CE company has some type of iPad dock. So where’s the love for Kindle Fire users? Grace Digital is hoping to heat things up with its new FireDock.
Specifically designed to nestle Amazon’s 7-inch tablet in both horizontal and vertical viewing angles, the FireDock has a docking station that can accommodate the Kindle Fire’s USB port, headphone jack and power button—which are all located on the same side of the tablet.
Promising room-filling sound using base-ported stereo speakers and a Class D digital amplifier, the Grace FireDock can charge the tablet while it’s docked, even on the go. Yes, the FireDock is portable, and will feature an optional lithium-ion battery pack for portable use.
All of you Kindle Fire owners will have have to suffer in silence (or with headphones) for a little while longer, though. The FireDock isn’t expected to ship until July 2012. When it does, look for an MSRP of $129.99.
