No one likes the power company. (Sorry power company.) We’re guessing that there are more than a few of you out there looking to go solar, so you can kiss the power company goodbye for good. It’s certainly not an easy investment. However, Nest is hoping to make it slightly more enticing, thanks to a new partnership.
Nest, the same people that make the popular thermostat, is joining forces with super-solar company, Sunrun. Between the thermostat and the solar system, you should see some changes in your energy bills. However, the two are currently running a promotion that should deliver some savings a lot sooner than you’d think.
From now through October 31, 2013, if you sign up for Sunrun, the company will give you a free Nest thermostat and $250 of free electricity. If you’ve already got the Nest, Sunrun will just credit you a cool $500.
According to Sunrun, customers can expect to receive the free goods around four to six weeks after the solar system has been installed.
To get a free quote on the Sunrun system, go to the company’s website and fill in your contact info.
