Gateway Targets Gamers with FX7026 Desktop PC
Gateway's new $1,099 FX7026, part of its FX Series, offers performance and affordability for serious gamers.
May 06, 2008 | by Arlen Schweiger

Home computers need to keep up with the pace these days. With the giant force gaming has become, you need a super slick PC to handle everything thrown at it.

Gateway is addressing gamers by including in its new products a high-performance gaming PC, the FX7026, which it touts as offering performance and value.

With an Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9300, Nvidia 8800GT graphics, 4 GB of memory, 64-bit processor and a 640 GB hard drive, this Gateway offering should have no problem with today’s multifaceted and sophisticated games. Get ready for some sweet 3D and smooth video delivery with the DirectX 10 technology too.

The Windows Vista Home Premium and Service Pack 1 should aid in keeping the system reliable, secure and high-performing. Look for the FX7026 for $1,099.

If it’s more of a multimedia solution you’re after, Gateway has also introduced the GT Series, with hard drives ranging from 320 GB to 750 GB for all of your digital files, and prices from $549 to $849.
