Fuze, Lagotek Combine Distributed Media and Home Control Forces
Fuze Media Systems and Lagotek will develop products and offer homebuilders a joint whole-house media and automation solution.
November 05, 2007 | by Arlen Schweiger

Fuze Media Systems fuses together your media files, if you will, for its whole-home distributed media solution that’s based on the Microsoft Media Center platform. Now it’s doing some more fusing, this time with Lagotek.

The recently announced relationship will allow Fuze and Lagotek to team up to deliver a whole-home entertainment as well as home automation solution for the homebuilding industry.

Builders will be able to install this type of versatile solution using Lagotek’s HIP100 intelligent control panel to deliver entertainment and home control, so the solutions are streamlined into one nifty and easy-to-use package and interface.

The agreement calls for joint product and market development, so look for plenty of innovation in the area of home control from the Fuze and Lagotek folks.

The Fuze company founders came from former On Command execs who brought in-room entertainment offerings to more than a million hotel rooms. Now they’re determined to provide your home’s media solution, so if you’re buying a new-construction unit check with the builder to see what kind of entertainment solution it might be adding.
