Funai has added DivX certification to its B1-M110 Blu-ray player.
DivX keeps popping up a lot lately. First LG announced that they will release a DivX-enabled DVD player. Now, Funai says they will soon double your pleasure, adding DivX to the B1-M110 Blu-ray player.
Of course, Funai is known for its budget A/V solutions. However, we can only assume at this point that this unit won’t be too pricey. If the price is right, it won’t just bring Blu-ray to more masses, but it might snag a few DivX lovers looking for a player that can do double duty.
“Consumers are increasingly turning to next generation solutions for their home entertainment and there has been continual demand from them to support the playback of DivX video in the living room,” said Moriyasu Yoshitake, Funai’s general manager for the DVD side. “Working with DivX has allowed us to provide our customers with a high-quality solution for digital video.”
Funai’s B1-M110 will launch in Europe next month.
