Panasonic’s TH-42PZ700U 42-inch 1080p plasma
Looking for 1080p “Full HD” but don’t have quite enough space (or pocket change) for the bigger flat-panel sizes? Panasonic has announced that its TH-42PZ700U 1080p 42-inch plasma HDTV—the market’s first 1080p 42-inch Plasma -– will be available at retail beginning in early July with an SRP of $2,499.95.
The TH-42PZ700U is part of Panasonic’s 700 Series of 1080p plasmas that includes 42-, 50-, 58- and 65-inch models as well as the 103-inch model. The 700 Series emphasizes deep blacks, high contrast ratio, excellent shadow detail and clean images, Panasonic says.
The feature package of the TH-42PZ700U (which has a native resolution of 1920x1080) includes two HDMI inputs, and an SD card slot that enables consumers to quickly and easily view their digital photos on a large Plasma screen, the company says. The model also has EZ Sync that allows for one-touch operation of all compatible components.
