HD DVDs aren’t exactly cheap, especially if you’re looking to replace some of your existing collection. However, Ars Technica says that Toshiba is going to cushion some of the cost by offering three HD DVDs with the purchase of one of their HD DVD players.

I’m all for freebies, but expect those titles to take eight to 10 weeks to get to you. It’s not so bad; looking at an empty player has got to be more entertaining than “The Dukes of Hazzard”.
