Watch real-time video of select Masters holes on the iPhone

Hey golf fans, this app’s for you.

Follow this year’s Masters—the early leaders are at -5 as this is being written—on your iPhone/iPod touch.

Yes, there’s an app for the action at Augusta National this year, pretty much a portable version of what you’ve come to expect from Masters.org during the tournament in recent years.

And that’s a good thing for those who want to get the up-to-the-minute leaderboard and catch real-time play that’s not tied to the TV coverage.

After you’ve downloaded the software at Apple’s App Store, you can start by checking the real-time leaderboard, complete with player profiles and tee time pairings.

For more on the course, check out flyovers that give detailed hole information and player tracking.

Then there’s the real jewel, the live video streaming of several select holes, including Nos. 15 and 16, and the real knee knockers around Amen Corner. If you tie them together, you’ll know exactly when your favorite players (hey, we know there’s more to like than just Tiger) as they tee it up on the toughest Augusta holes. Fore!
