In need of some inspiration to get into exercise mode? Maybe you want to keep track of how you’re actually performing with your daily (yeah, right) routine?

The pocket-sized Fitbit Tracker is an unobtrusive and tech-savvy way to keep you on your toes.

You can clip the little device to clothing or to your wrist so it can monitor your data, and then sync and send the info wirelessly to your PC or Mac so you can read it on-screen.

If you go within 25 to 50 feet of the included basestation, the data from the Tracker is automatically uploaded to the Fitbit website.

You can check calories, steps and distance of your exercise regimen on the Tracker itself, and when you log into the website there’s plenty more info for your profile, like what you’ve eaten, your weight and body mass index, a daily activity report, how long you slept, plus updates from friends—yup, social exercise activity has gone from the gym to the network.

Looks like Gearlog had a chance to go hands-on with the Fitbit Tracker, which launched today at TechCrunch 50 in San Fran. It’ll retail for $99.
