Forget to set your DVR to record “Lost?” Now instead of wondering what happened to the Oceanic Six, you can set your digital video recorder remotely—if you have Verizon’s FiOS TV.

Subscribers can access the remote service via theVerizon’s FiOS TV website. From there, you can review, change or add recording requests, as well as browse, search or delete whatever you have stockpiled.

There’s also downloadable software, which works with any Verizon Wireless LG enV2, LG Voyager or LG Chocolate 2 handset. Verizon plans to add the functionality for other wireless users in the future.

The new remote services will be free as part of your FiOS TV package—as long as you have Verizon’s Home Media DVR. The Home Media DVR allows subscribers to record, pause and watch live TV, as well as use the one box to record programming that can be watched on up to six other TVs in the home.
