It’s hard to fill that void after the kids are all gone—not.

These empty nesters purchased this home from a production builder, but kicked the entertainment area up a notch.

The whole-house audio and the family room surround sound systems are all controlled via a small electronics niche, which is located next to the fireplace.

CAT custom built the speakers and four subwoofers in the family room. Where the left and right front speakers are located, there were originally oak niches in the wall; CAT built their speakers to fit in the same location. The subwoofers were painted to blend in nicely with the walls.

As a final piece for this puzzle, CAT was called in to perform their on-site engineering to make sure this system performs up to the homeowners’ highest expectations.
