When it comes to projectors, Accolade's Duet video screen doesn't need to discriminate.

Epson has slapped the brand name Accolade on its new Duet portable projection screen. Not sure why they are hiding it under another name; I would think they’d want to hoard all of the credit for themselves.

Designed for business, pleasure and any other projection needs in between, the Duet can project images up to 80 inches, while accommodating both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.

The unit includes a stand as well as hardware for hanging. It boasts a 30-second setup time—but who’s counting? After all, it’s portable, so it has to be (or should be) easy.

The DUET screen is currently available at Epson’s retail Web site. Expect it to hit other retail outlets at the beginning of 2007.

  • $249
  • Can expand to either 4:3 or 16:9
  • Images up to 80 inches (diagonal)
  • Forms carrying case when closed
