Promising sizes up to 120 inches, Epson’s new PowerLite delivers 1080p in a 3LCD projector.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before… but Epson just announced a new HD projector: The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 UB.
This looks a lot the company’s 720 model and even bears the same name as the 1080 UB we’ve covered in the past. So what is new about it? Well… for one thing, it looks like Epson is touting a $2,800 price and actually sticking with it (although that is with a $200 rebate).
If your cheap side isn’t enough to entice you, the native 1080p resolution surely will. There’s also a new 3LCD chipset (D7) with CFine and UltraBlack technology, which means killer color and deep blacks—all perfect for video games, high-def DVD or any of your other video addictions.
Other features include two HDMI inputs, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, 1,600 ANSI lumens and display sizes up to a whopping 120 inches (for games!).
The unit is available now; grab one before the $200 rebate goes away.
