The EPP-HH01 Sugar Cube isn't all that sweet, with just a 640x480 resolution.

Epoq has announced the EPP-HH01 for all—well, some—of your portable projection needs.

The EPP-HH01 Pico Sugar Cube features a VGA resolution, 7 to 10 ANSI lumens, and an 80:1 contrast ratio. You can also expect about 25,000 hours of lamp life.

All of that doesn’t sound all that impressive, but Twice says the unit is about the size of “a hen’s egg.” However, they also say it measures about 39.6 by 56.7 by 57.5 inches. Is that a hen’s egg or a hen’s house? It’s neither; the dimensions should actually be in millimeters. Now that’s kind of tasty.

I guess it would be neat for on-the-go gaming duels, or for portable PowerPoint presentations, if the price was a bit more enticing. It may look like it came out of a gumball machine, but it’s selling for $229. For that, you also get a teeny 0.5-watt mono speaker.

Gadget Craver is taking orders now, with delivery expected later this month.
