It seems that some major recording labels are toying with the idea of releasing DRM-free music. EMI is leading the way, selling songs on Yahoo! Music. This means that the unprotected tracks could be played on MP3 players, as well as the Apple iPod, says MSNBC.
New tracks went up on Yahoo! this week, from Norah Jones and Relient K. The tracks are currently available for 99 cents each.
