Home security isn’t just about cameras and loud alarms. ADT just announced plans to beef up its security options, by adding in remote door locks.
Having that option will allow ADT Pulse customers to lock and unlock doors from any web-enabled tablet, smartphone or computer. It’s like having a “master key” at your fingertips.
The company spent more than a year testing out the service, as well as its speed. Supported by Kwikset, ADT says this option is easy to install — and even easier to use.
Currently, ADT Pulse users can remotely arm and disarm their security systems, access real-time video, and manage thermostats, lights and small appliances. The service also offers notifications and alerts via text, phone and email.
“If I forgot to lock my door, I can lock it with the touch of a button through my phone no matter where I am,” says Sarah Dusto, an ADT Pulse customer. “With four kids, I always have my hands full, so simply being able to unlock the front door without searching for keys makes my life a lot more convenient.”
The new remote option is available now to all ADT Pulse customers. Contact the company for more information about ADT Pulse options and pricing.
