The Inspiro calculates the energy consumption and time needed to raise the temperature of the meat to the desired level.
It’s hard to make that leap from bake to broil. Instead of burning up something for dinner, Electrolux’s Inspiro cooks food perfect every time.
Just announced, this new oven uses a crazy new heat management technique that can choose your time and temperature, based on contents of the oven. Zesty fries? Check. A 20-pound Butterball? No problem. Oven s’mores? That sounds like a challenge!
The company likens the technique to digital photography, claiming the Inspiro sets just like your camera. “When auto-exposure and auto-focus were new features on cameras, there was a lot of skepticism,” explains Hans Stråberg, CEO Electrolux. “But, with time, auto-focus has been accepted and today it is a standard feature. For the oven and for the camera, it is all about pushing one button to ensure a professional result.”
It won’t do your shopping or kill the meat for you, but the Inspiro does pretty much everything else. For example, to cook meat, select “roast,” and whether you want it rare, medium or well-done. The oven “tells” you which rack to put your vittles on, and then you can go fill up on bread—just like you’re at a real restaurant.
There’s no word on a price or when it will be available in the U.S., but you can get a gander at how the Inspiro made in the video below. Bon appetit!
