Recently, we were praising the Logitech Harmony Elite as a controller that’s pretty perfect for the Electronic House. That said, it is sort of limited in the number of smart home systems it can control.
Of course, the Harmony Elite can control an unlimited number of smart home systems and devices, but the list of what’s actually compatible is still on the short side. Want to add more devices into that lineup today? Think about adding in the Harmony Hub Extender.
The Harmony Hub Extender is a newly announced box that can add ZigBee and Z-Wave support to your Harmony Hub. So in addition to all of the previously announced smart home systems that the Harmony is compatible with, you can add in all sorts of other connected options.
Adding the Extender to the Harmony Hub allows for direct control over smart home systems from as Osram Lightify, GE Link, Cree, Kwikset, Schlage, Yale, Aeotec, Jasco, Nortek Security & Control, NYCE, ADT Pulse, Vera (formerly Mi Casa Verde), Nexia Home Intelligence, and more.
In addition to web access and the Harmony app, you will need the Harmony Ultimate Home, Harmony Home Control, Harmony Home Hub, Harmony Ultimate, Harmony Smart Control, Harmony Smart Keyboard, or Harmony Ultimate Hub to use this product. (Each one is available now as a separate purchase.) Once everything is hooked up, all of the above devices and more can be added into your programmed schedules and one-touch activities. Of course, you can also use your Harmony remote or app to control devices connected to one of the smart home platforms mentioned, such as ADT, Vera and Nexia.
Of course, as with all Harmony devices, the new Harmony Hub Extender is compatible with over 270,000 devices with new devices being added every month.
Logitech is selling the Harmony Hub Extender now, with an MSRP of $99.99.
