DWV’s Art.Suono features DWC-APHEX circuitry and proprietary wireless technology.
SlideshowEveryone and their mother seems to have an iPod dock—and even your mom’s looks the same. Now David Wiener Ventures has thrown a curve (literally) into the dock market.
The Art.Suono is described as a “luxury iPod product,” which could mean that it’s an iPod dock for $1,499. However, it’s not the price or suave-sounding name that makes this unit unique. The unit features DWC-APHEX circuitry, as well as proprietary wireless technology, which allows users to stream music to any audio system. That music can come from a variety of sources, including an iPod, computer, CD player, MP3 player or satellite radio.
Of course, the Art.Suono also has a funky design, featuring a half-pound of aluminum and a two-inch Formula One-style roller bearing.
DWV develops products under its own name, which you may not know. However, their other brand, Ferrari, should sound pretty familiar. In other words, they know how to do flashy.
The Art.Suono will be available via authorized DWV resellers starting in October.
