I’m sorely tempted to join the Windows 8 camp for the new Hulu Plus app that does so much more than the inelegant app for iPad – just little things like multitasking capabilities that let you check email or browse the Web while watching a show. I don’t use my iPad for much except for Hulu Plus, email, news and Kindle. Mostly Hulu Plus.

Most importantly, the Win 8 user interface crushes its iOS counterpart in so many ways.

Your content “queue,” for example, is simpler to build and navigate; the Hulu search feature is readily accessible no matter where you are in the application; You can easily share content you’re currently viewing or pin it to your Start menu for one-click (or one-touch) access. Windows Live Tiles show you what’s currently being featured in HuluPlus; the multitasking “SnapView” feature is oh so user-friendly; and more.

This is the first application I’ve seen that might convince me to go to the dark side. I’ve never used the Windows 8 “Tile” interface, but I like what I see in the Hulu Plus app.

The app will be released this Friday, Oct. 26 via the Windows Store, and it will be pre-loaded on select Acer and Sony Windows 8 tablets.
