Caution: wide load. OK, make that ultra-wide.

Screen maker dnp denmark is introducing the Epic model to its Supernova line, and the screen will play just that. Those epic blockbusters that go ultra-wide in movie theaters can be reproduced in aspect ratios up to 2.40:1 on the Epic, without the annoying black bars.

Just team it with a projector that has an anamorphic lens, and let the screen do the rest of the work. It will display formats from standard-def 4:3 to widescreen 16:9 to 2.40:1, and maintain a fixed image height.

Topping off that true cinematic feel? The Epic’s electronically controlled curtains glide apart and together when the movie begins and ends.

Sizes are available in 8-, 10, 12- and 13-foot models, and custom orders can be taken. The screens will be available next month, so start compiling those super-widescreen DVDs and high-def DVDs.
