Deal: XM SKYFi2 Receiver & Remote - $29.99
In the car, at home, just about anywhere you go, this compact XM receiver gives you a lot of listening pleasure.

In honor of today’s long-time-coming merger approval of satellite giants Sirius and XM, today’s deal features one of the cheapest receivers (in the good sense) on the market - the Delphi XM SKYFi2 w/ remote.

Say what you will about the sound quality of this non-terrestrial medium - either flavor - the convenience factor can’t be beat, to say nothing of the commercial-free content.

The SKYFi2 has several nice features, including 30 channel presets, personalized stock and sports tickers, a preview mode to see what else is on, a 5 line text display, and a TuneSelect function that automatically finds your favorite programs. My fav however would be its rewind feature via some built in SSD memory. This one-button time shifting saves your last 30 minutes of listening history, allowing you play that infectious Rick Astley tune as many times as your carpooling friends, or intestinal fortitude will allow.

Reviews for this model seem positive (generally 8/10) noting it’s diminutive size, the above mentioned rewind feature, and the wireless FM transmitter (= fewer wires). The downs are due to the smallish buttons/big fingers syndrome and the cost of optional boombox/home stereo adapters.

Price: $29.99 (after $20 rebate)
