Deal: Wii Console + 6-Game Bundle - $499.94
Get your game on with this Wii console and 6-pack bundle.
March 28, 2008 | by Gordon Jones

I’m not sure anyone saw the Wii phenomenon coming. Certainly not MS or Sony, who still seem a bit befuddled by Nintendo’s apparent rabbit out of a hat. And if you don’t already own a Wii, or better yet, if you’re that creepy Target dude, the one jockeying against 12yo’s for playtime on the demo unit, this deal is definitely for you.

First off, Wii’s aren’t exactly easy to find… ask any desperate parent. Secondly, the six bundled games in this deal aren’t all horrible. Low on the list are Crash of the Titans, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, and Spyro: The Eternal Night. Disney’s High School Musical: Sing It! (w/ Microphone) get’s thumbs up if you happen to own earplugs, while Trauma Center: New Blood, and Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaro’s Treasure get decent grades from our office gamers. Typical of bundle deals I guess.

A 10 game ”2008 Totally Fun” bundle for $699 is also available and includes Resident Evil 4, Tiger Woods PGA Tour ‘08, LEGO Star Wars, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Big Brain Academy, Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, Super Mario Galaxy, Rockstar Presents Table Tennis, Bully: Scholarship Edition.

Both deals include the standard pieces: Wii Sports game, sensor bar, AV cable, Wii stand, wireless Wii Remote, and a Nunchuk controller.

Sale price: $499.94 + s/h

Deal ends: while supplies last (not long)

I saved a lot of money by asking the Target security guard if he would put aside a Wii for me if I gave him $50. He told me he would just buy one and sell it to me for $300. Had a Wii within a week.

just got the heads up on another good Wii deal at WalMart. for $663 you get the typical Wii set plus two Mario games (super smash and party 8) plus your choice of one free accessory (controller, etc) plus 5 free games from a looong list (over 60). i wouldn’t expect this sale to last long.

And i had hard time finding one! but, i have to agree, the wii is alot of fun for family of 4.even my grand parents love it.
I think,Nintendo will keep going and going. I love you Nintendo.!

I saw it coming back in 2005, and I tried to explain with simple reason how it was inevitable that Nintendo’s “Revolution” as it was then called would come out on top.  And the other nerds laughed at me.

Thing is, people will snap up this deal just because they want a Wii any way they can get it.  The retailers are having a field day with this product...it’s the longest “launch” in console history, by far. And retailers always do these bundle deals during a console launch.

And at least this deal has a few reportedly decent games.
