If you own a Blu-ray player and have even a mild interest in Sci-Fi, you absolutely have to own Serenity.
It’s the ultimate proof that the short-lived TV program Firefly (created by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame) had more steam behind it had Fox not screwed the pooch with their promotion and musical time-slots for the fan-favorite series. You don’t need to know much more detail—just know that you must have it in your BD collection.
Luckily, Amazon has it today for only $9.99 with free super-saver shipping on orders over $25 or free two-day shipping for Prime members. Also from Amazon, we can share one other detail—Serenity commenters’ average review of the movie is 4.5 stars out of 5, and that’s with 1,600 votes. Not too shabby.
If your love for Sci-Fi goes a step further toward campy, occult, comic-book driven fare, Amazon has Hellboy 2: The Golden Army on Blu-ray disc also for $9.99.
