It’s back-to-school time, but don’t think all the excitement is for the K-12 crowd.

NewEgg is having a back-to-school sale and folks looking for great entry-level home-theater deals can benefit from this bit of higher learning. Part of the back-to-school special is some great clearance pricing on last year’s Polk Audio Monitor series speakers, along with some impressive coupon code savings stacked on top!

Check out the following models and associated codes. You can add multiple codes (one per item) in your shopping cart.

Bonus deal: Also part of the back-to-school blowout is last year’s Onkyo TX-SR806. It’s the little-brother of yesterday’s deal, the TX-SR876, and shares the same chasis, THX Ultra2 Plus certification, audio decoding, and Audyssey MultiEQ XT (a feature slowly disappearing from similarly priced AVRs). Its video processing steps down to Faroudja DCDi/EDGE, Cirrus Logic DACs, and lacks the heft toroid power supply, but it still puts out a significant amount of clean power (especially with 8ohm loads).

The TX-SR806 can be had for $589 after code “EMCLWNM6”, which is $10 less than I could find it from any other authorized dealer, including refurbs, and this one’s brand new with the full 2-year warranty!
