Black Friday has come and gone, and though we saw some decent Blu-ray deals, the lower priced models were certainly not among the players that have been recommended to us.
Panasonic’s DMP-BD35K, however, is. And Dealnews tells us that now through December 13 at Amazon.com you can snatch up the Panny DMP-BD35K, as well as four movies from a Warner Brothers list of 22 eligible Blu-ray titles for a grand total of about $209 (including free shipping).
Plus, there’s a Panasonic mail-in rebate good until February that lets you grab “Ratatouille” and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” free (though it’s called a “Sleeping Beauty” promotion for some reason—must have run out of those free copies quickly).
Of course, you’d have to grab the four cheapest WB movies on Amazon to make it $209 (subtracting $100 instant rebate after adding the Blu-ray player plus the movie costs), but there are definitely some gems on there, like “Goodfellas” and “V for Vendetta” that may interest you.
And even if you swing some of the other films that run a couple of bucks more, it’ll still get you a sweet Blu-ray player and six movies for $225 and under.
Also, Dealnews did some tallying on other eligible players in this Amazon promotion, where the lowest bundle would run you: $268 for the LG BD300, $287 for the Sony BDP-S550, or $436 for the Denon DVD-1800BD. All in all, not a bad way to enter the Blu-ray fray.
