Sometimes you can truly strike gold with Amazon’s “Gold Box Deal of the Day” but you have to strike fast because they only last one day.

The today-only deal for October 2 is a great one if you’re in the market for in-ceiling speakers, as Amazon’s Gold Box deal brings a great discount on the MartinLogan Helos20 In-Ceiling Speaker with Paintable Frame and Grille.

The speaker ordinarily goes for $399 a pop but today has been discounted to just $149.

As an architectural speaker, it’s not the electrostatic design that MartinLogan has become renowned for, but it should work just fine in your multiroom audio setup.

The speaker can be configured in a stereo capable array, and features twin 3/4-inch neodymium soft-dome tweeters and an aluminum woofer. It can handle 100 watts as a mono speaker, or 50 watts x2 as stereo.
