I can’t say the premise of this movie is terribly original (or appealing) - Will Smith as humanity’s last hope - but somehow I Am Legend entertains. Maybe it’s the hairless zombie dogs, infected mutants, or the idea of practicing your golf swing off an SR71.

Some claim the movie to be the best of 2007. I would probably agree if it weren’t for the second half which felt rushed and a world apart from Richard Matheson’s classic science-fiction novel on which the movie was based. Maybe the alternate ending included on the disc fixes all that. You’ll have to watch to find out.
