Amazon Video on Demand has a bunch of $5 TV specials right now

The fall TV season is right around the corner, but sometimes you need a quick (and cheap) fix.

Right now you can snag some great TV, and some pretty bad TV, for download from Amazon On Demand for only $5 ... and that’s not $5 per episode, but $5 per season.

These aren’t rentals either ... once you download the content, you own it (as much as you ever can own DRM laden 0s and 1s).

There are currently six different series/seasons available in HD, and 10 others available in SD. You can download and playback Amazon On Demand content on your PC, TivoHD, Roku Player, and compatible devices from Sony Bravia and Panasonic Viera.

Seasons available in HD:

* Kings - Complete Series (I Highly Recommend)
* Caprica - Unrated
* Heroes - Volume 2
* Parks and Recreation - Season 1
* Friday Night Lights - Season 3
* Battlestar Galactica - Season 1

Seasons available in SD:

* House - Season 4
* Psych - Season 3
* Top Chef - Season 5
* The Office - Season 1
* The Office-  Season 4
* 30 Rock - Season 1
* Saved By The Bell - Season 1
* Andy Barker P.I. - Season 1
* Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List - Season 4
* The Real Housewives of New York City
