Microsoft will offer Office to Mac users at a discount through January 10, 2009.
Mac users might score a good software deal this week. Microsoft is offering bargain hunters a Black Friday special on Office 2008.
Sorry PC fans; this one is for Mac lovers only. Starting tomorrow, Microsoft’s Office 2008 for Mac: Special Media Edition will be available for a whopping 75 percent off. The software typically sells for $500, so bringing it down to the $125 level makes it sort of appetizing.
The deal will be available Thursday and Friday only. Even better, you won’t even have to leave the house. Check Apple stores, BestBuy.com and Amazon; all are expected to have the product for this sale price.
If you black out after Black Friday, there’s still an opportunity to save—just not as much. Microsoft will drop the offer down to 50 percent off, but extend that sale through January 10, 2009.
